1D or 2D barcode scanner — which do I need?
Choose 2D if you accept QR-code payments, scan e-invoices or sell products with QR labels. 1D laser scanners are cheaper and perfectly adequate for standard EAN/UPC retail barcodes.
Do the scanners work with Android POS terminals?
Yes. USB scanners work with SUNMI and other Android terminals in keyboard-wedge mode, and Bluetooth models pair directly. We configure them before delivery.
Can I use one scanner for stock counting?
Yes. Wireless 2D scanners paired with POS Emirates Inventory Management let staff count stock aisle by aisle, with results syncing when the scanner is back in range.
What is the warranty on barcode scanners?
Honeywell and Zebra scanners include manufacturer warranties of up to 5 years depending on model; house-brand wireless scanners carry 12 months. Repairs are handled at our Dubai workshop.
