What is Installation & Setup?
Installation & Setup is the on-site service that turns boxes of hardware and a software licence into a working system. A POS Emirates engineer arrives at your location, mounts and connects every device, installs and licenses the software, loads your products or staff, configures receipts and rules, and tests the full workflow with your team before leaving.

Professional installation pays for itself on the first day
Most POS problems we are called to fix were never software bugs. They are cash drawers wired at the wrong voltage, kitchen printers on the wrong network, receipts without a TRN, or product files imported with the wrong VAT rate. A professional installation avoids all of these and gets your business trading immediately.
What a POS Emirates installation covers
Point of sale counters
We position the terminal, printer and drawer for the cashier's workflow, secure cables, connect the scanner and customer display, and configure the receipt with your logo, TRN, bilingual text and footer message. Kitchen and bar printers are routed by category so orders reach the right station.
Biometric attendance and access control
Terminals are mounted at the correct height, wired to the network or Wi-Fi and, where required, connected to electric locks and exit buttons. We enrol employees, set departments and shifts in Time Attendance Software and verify the first punches.
RFID and label printing
Fixed readers and antennas are installed after a read-rate test, handheld readers are paired, and label printers are calibrated for your label stock with templates ready to print.
Networking essentials
Where needed we add a switch, router or UPS so the counter has stable, protected connectivity. Larger networks are handled by our Server & Networking service.
Data migration
Send us your product list, price list or employee roster as Excel or an export from your current system. We clean it, set VAT rates and barcodes, and import it before the visit so testing happens with real data.
Coverage and scheduling
Installation in Dubai and Sharjah is included with POS Emirates software licences and bundles. Other emirates are quoted per site, and we routinely install in Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain. Evening and weekend slots are available for restaurants that cannot close during the day.
After installation
Every installation ends with a handover checklist listing device settings, logins and the support contacts. Add an IT Support & AMC plan to keep the same engineers on call for the life of the system.

How long does a POS installation take?
A single counter with terminal, printer, drawer and scanner takes 2–4 hours including product import and testing. Multi-counter or restaurant setups usually take one day.
Is installation included with your software?
Yes, in Dubai and Sharjah when you buy POS Emirates software or a bundle. Other emirates are quoted based on distance.
Can you install hardware I bought elsewhere?
Yes, provided it is compatible. We charge a standard installation fee and cannot warranty third-party devices.
Do you install outside working hours?
Yes. Evening and Friday installations are available for restaurants and shops that cannot close.
Will you import my products?
Yes. Send an Excel or CSV list and we import products, prices, barcodes and VAT settings before the visit.
What do I need to prepare?
