Server & Networking
POS Emirates designs, installs and manages business networks and servers for shops, restaurants, offices and warehouses across the UAE: structured cabling, PoE switches, Wi-Fi, dual-WAN routers, firewalls, UPS power and on-premise or hybrid servers. Reliable connectivity keeps POS terminals, cameras and attendance devices online through peak hours and outages.

What is Server & Networking?
Server & Networking is the infrastructure service behind every reliable POS, attendance or cloud system. We survey your premises, design a network that separates POS, guest Wi-Fi and cameras, install cabling and equipment, configure routers with failover between du and Etisalat, protect power with UPS units, and set up any servers you still need on-site.
Who is it for?
Businesses whose operations depend on connectivity:
- New shops, restaurants and clinics being fitted out
- Offices moving premises or upgrading old Wi-Fi
- Warehouses needing coverage for handheld scanners and RFID
- Multi-branch companies wanting standard, remotely managed networks

The network is part of the POS
Card payments time out, kitchen orders arrive late, attendance punches fail to sync: these are network problems that look like software problems. A shop or restaurant network in the UAE has to carry POS, payment terminals, cameras, music, staff phones and guest Wi-Fi at the same time, often over a single consumer router supplied by the ISP. POS Emirates replaces that with a designed, segmented, monitored network.
What we install
Structured cabling
Cat6 or Cat6a cabling to every counter, kitchen printer, camera and access point, terminated in a labelled patch panel and tested with certificates. Neat cabling is what makes future changes cheap.
Switching and PoE
Ubiquiti UniFi PoE switches power access points, cameras and biometric terminals over the network cable, removing dozens of power adapters. VLANs separate POS, cameras, staff and guests.
Routing and failover
MikroTik or UniFi gateways provide firewalling, VPN for remote support and dual-WAN failover, so when your primary du or Etisalat line drops, traffic moves to the backup within seconds and your counter keeps taking cards.
Wi-Fi
Access points are positioned from the survey to cover the shop floor, kitchen, storeroom and outdoor seating, with separate SSIDs for POS devices, staff and guests, and bandwidth limits so guests never slow the POS.
Power protection
APC UPS units at each counter and in the rack keep systems running through short outages and protect equipment from surges common in older buildings.
Servers
Many customers run fully in the cloud, but where an on-premise server is needed for CCTV recording, a legacy application or local file storage, we supply, configure and back it up, often as a hybrid with our Cloud Services.
Standardising multiple branches
For chains we create a standard network design that is deployed identically in every outlet and managed from one UniFi controller. New branches open faster, and support engineers see every site from one dashboard.
Documentation and handover
Every project ends with a network diagram, IP scheme, credential vault and labelled cabling. Under an AMC we monitor the network and receive alerts before you notice a problem.
Pricing
Small shop networks (router, switch, one access point, UPS, cabling for two counters) start around AED 4,500 including installation. Restaurants, offices and warehouses are quoted after a free survey.

Learn moreFrequently asked questions
Can you set up failover between du and Etisalat?
Yes. Dual-WAN routers we install switch to the backup line automatically within seconds, and we can add 4G/5G backup where a second fixed line is not available.
Do you do structured cabling and racks?
Yes. Cat6/Cat6a cabling, patch panels, rack installation and testing certificates are part of the service.
Should POS be on a separate network from guest Wi-Fi?
Yes. We create separate VLANs so guest devices cannot see POS terminals, payment devices or cameras, which is also required for card-payment security.
Do I still need a server if I use cloud software?
Usually not. Some businesses keep a small server or NAS for CCTV recording or file storage; we design hybrid setups where needed.
Can you work in a mall or building with fit-out rules?
Yes. We regularly work under mall and building management requirements, including out-of-hours installation and permit paperwork.
Do you monitor the network after installation?
Yes, under Silver and Gold AMC plans, with alerts for offline devices, link failures and UPS events.
