Face recognition terminals at the office door, rugged fingerprint units at the site gate, RFID cards for visitors and a mobile app with GPS geofencing for drivers, sales reps and remote workers. All punches land in the same timesheet with the device or location recorded.

Shifts, rosters and Ramadan hours

Build fixed, rotating, split and night shifts; assign them by department or individual; publish rosters to the mobile app. The UAE public-holiday calendar and reduced Ramadan working hours are applied automatically so overtime is calculated correctly during the holy month.

Overtime, rest days and Labour Law rules

Overtime is calculated at 125% for normal hours and 150% for night work, with weekly rest-day and maximum-hours rules built in and fully customisable per employee grade. Every calculation is traceable back to the punch, which is exactly what MOHRE inspectors and auditors want to see.

Leave that talks to attendance

Employees request annual, sick or unpaid leave from the app; managers approve with one tap; balances update and the timesheet marks the days correctly. No more reconciling two spreadsheets at month-end.

Reports and payroll export

Compliance and data protection

Biometric templates are encrypted on the device and in the cloud, and personal data is hosted in UAE data centres. Access is role-based, so a site supervisor sees their crew and nothing else. Audit logs record every edit to a punch or timesheet.

Deployment options

The standard offering is our UAE-hosted cloud with automatic backups and updates — you simply plug in the terminals and they register themselves. Organisations that require on-premise systems, such as government contractors, can run the same software on a Windows server installed by POS Emirates and still use the mobile app.

Pricing explained

Subscription tiers are based on employee count and include hosting, updates and support. Biometric devices are a one-time purchase (from AED 650 for a fingerprint terminal to around AED 2,500 for a face-recognition unit with temperature screening). Installation and training are quoted per site; the Time Attendance Starter Kit bundles software, device and setup for small companies.

Support across the Emirates

POS Emirates engineers install devices in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman and the Northern Emirates, configure shifts and policies with your HR team and train supervisors. Ongoing support covers software questions and hardware repair or replacement under an optional AMC.
