Networking & UPS

Business networking equipment and power protection for POS, biometric and cloud systems across the UAE. POS Emirates supplies Ubiquiti and MikroTik switches, routers and access points plus APC UPS units, installed and configured so your billing counters, cameras and attendance devices stay online through power cuts and peak Wi-Fi demand.

Your POS is only as reliable as the network behind it. We design small-business networks with PoE switches that power access points and cameras, routers with dual-WAN failover for du and Etisalat lines, and UPS units that keep counters billing during outages. All equipment is installed and documented by POS Emirates engineers as part of our Server & Networking service, with remote monitoring available under an AMC.

Frequently asked questions

How long will a UPS keep my POS running?

An APC 1100 VA UPS typically runs one POS terminal, a receipt printer and a router for 20–40 minutes, enough to finish transactions and shut down safely. Larger units are available for server rooms.

Do I need a PoE switch?

If you have IP cameras, Wi-Fi access points or biometric terminals, PoE lets you power them over the network cable and avoids extra power adapters. For a simple 2-terminal shop a standard switch is fine.

Can you set up failover between two internet lines?

Yes. MikroTik and Ubiquiti routers we supply support dual-WAN failover, so if your primary du or Etisalat line drops, POS traffic switches to the backup connection automatically.

Do you install the network as well?

Yes. Structured cabling, rack installation, configuration and labelling are included in our Server & Networking service across Dubai and the northern emirates.
