Frequently asked questions

What size receipt printer do I need?

80 mm is the standard for retail and restaurant receipts in the UAE and gives enough width for the VAT breakdown, TRN and Arabic text. 58 mm printers are only used on compact mobile devices.

Can the printer print Arabic receipts?

Yes. All printers we supply are tested with bilingual English/Arabic receipt templates from POS Emirates POS & Billing Software, including right-to-left text and Arabic product names.

How does the cash drawer open automatically?

The drawer plugs into the RJ11 port on the receipt printer. When the POS prints a cash sale, it sends a kick signal and the drawer opens. No separate power supply is needed.

Do you supply thermal paper rolls?

Yes. We deliver 80 mm and 58 mm thermal rolls in cartons across Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi, with recurring supply plans for multi-outlet customers.
