Portal reading for warehouses and retail back rooms
Fixed readers work where goods move through a defined point: receiving doors, dispatch bays, conveyor lines and stockroom-to-shopfloor doorways. Two to four antennas create a read zone, and every tagged carton or garment that passes is logged automatically in POS Emirates RFID Solutions, updating stock in real time.
GPIO connections drive light stacks and buzzers to confirm reads, and motion sensors trigger reading only when something passes, which reduces stray reads from nearby shelves.

How many antennas do I need for a dock door?
Typically two to four depending on door width and pallet height. A standard 3 m door usually needs two antennas on each side.
Is UHF RFID legal in the UAE?
Yes. The TDRA permits UHF RFID in the 865–868 MHz band, and we configure readers accordingly.
Can it connect to my existing ERP?
Yes. POS Emirates RFID Solutions pushes read events to SAP, Odoo, Zoho and custom systems via API.
What does a fixed RFID reader cost?
Readers start around AED 3,900 excl. VAT; a complete dock-door portal with antennas and installation is quoted after a site survey.
